The Houston Astros are on the verge of securing their third consecutive pennant after a thrilling 5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers in the AL Championship Series. Jose Altuve once again proved his ability to thrive under pressure with a three-run homer in the ninth inning, propelling the Astros to a 3-2 series lead. Altuve's home run marked his 26th career postseason homer, second only to Manny Ramirez in MLB history.

Houston manager Dusty Baker praised Altuve's concentration, desire, and relaxation in big moments, highlighting his exceptional skills. Altuve's heroics came after a bench-clearing fracas earlier in the game, resulting in the ejections of Baker, Rangers slugger Adolis García, and Astros pitcher Bryan Abreu.

Umpire crew chief James Hoye explained that Abreu was ejected for throwing with intent, while García was ejected for being the aggressor.

Pinch-hitter Yainer Diaz and pinch-hitter Jon Singleton set the stage for Altuve's heroics, as he launched an 0-1 changeup over the left-field fence.
