Serafini, who is the son-in-law of the Spohrs, and Scott were taken into custody in separate locations and are awaiting extradition to Placer County.

The arrest of Serafini comes two years after the attack occurred. He had a career as a pitcher in the MLB, playing for teams such as the Cincinnati Reds. The investigation into the incident led authorities to Serafini and Scott, with video surveillance footage showing a hooded and masked man approaching the victims' home. The arrest was announced by Placer County Sheriff Wayne Woo, who expressed satisfaction that justice was served.

The tragic events deeply affected the Spohr family, as expressed by Serafini's wife, Erin, who stated that she had no knowledge of who was responsible for her parents' deaths. The family is currently trying to cope with the loss and misses their parents tremendously. Serafini's attorney, David Fischer, has not yet commented on the arrest.

Serafini had a successful career in baseball, playing for multiple teams before retiring in 2007. The details of Scott's legal representation are currently unknown, as the Clark County Public Defender's Office has not provided information.
