WWE Legend Tammy Sytch Sentenced 17 Years Prison

WWE legend Tammy Sytch, known as Sunny, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for a fatal DUI car crash.

Former WWE legend Tammy Sytch, also known as "Sunny," was sentenced to 17 years in prison for her involvement in a fatal car crash that resulted in the death of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter. The sentencing took place in a Volusia County, Florida courtroom, three months after Sytch pleaded no contest to a felony DUI causing death charge, among others.

During the sentencing, Sytch was seen in an orange jumpsuit and shackles as she tearfully addressed the victim's family, expressing deep regret and remorse for her actions. The emotional hearing lasted several hours and included testimony from various individuals connected to the case, including a medical expert who provided an evaluation of the former wrestling star.

Sytch, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, collided with Lasseter's car while he was stopped at a red light in March 2022. It was later revealed that Sytch had a blood alcohol level of .085 or higher at the time of the crash. She initially faced eight charges related to the incident, with a potential sentence of 25 years, before reaching a plea deal with prosecutors in August.

This was not Sytch's first encounter with the law, as she had been arrested for impaired driving at least six times prior to this incident. In addition to her prison sentence, the judge ordered Sytch to serve an additional eight years of probation and permanently revoked her driver's license.

The sentencing marks a tragic conclusion to the former wrestling star's career, as she now faces a lengthy prison term for her role in the fatal car crash.
