Ohio State star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. may miss tonight's Cotton Bowl against Missouri, adding to uncertainty for the team.

Ohio State football's star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. may not be taking the field tonight against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. Harrison missed practice last week and, although he traveled with the team to Dallas for the game, his status remains uncertain as of Friday morning.

An AP report on Friday morning noted that Harrison was not a full participant in practice and did not have his helmet with him during the portion of practice that was open to reporters on Wednesday. Additionally, he did not take part in interview sessions with other top offensive players. The day before, Harrison was seen riding a stationary bicycle on the sideline while the rest of the team stretched and began practice.

When asked about the situation, Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day stated, "I feel like those are decisions that, you know, the players make and their families... I think our guys have been great and professional. These guys want to win the game. We'll know here in about 24 hours."

Harrison Jr. is one of three Buckeyes who have declared for the 2024 NFL Draft but have not announced their status for tonight's game. The other two players are defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau and linebacker Tommy Eichenberg.

This year's Cotton Bowl will mark the eleventh straight bowl appearance for Ohio State football and the fifth straight under coach Ryan Day. The team's participation in the game is eagerly anticipated, and fans are hopeful that Harrison Jr. and his teammates will ultimately take the field tonight.
