After studying nuclear engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the current Miss America spent her year raising awareness about nuclear power and zero-carbon energy sources. She visited nuclear power plants across the US and spoke about the benefits of nuclear power at various events, emphasizing that Miss America is a scholarship organization at its core.
