Niecy Nash recently shared her disappointment after learning that her show, The Rookie: Feds, would not be renewed for a second season. The decision to cancel the show was announced by ABC in November 2023, following a six-month wait and a delay due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes.

In an interview with Variety, Niecy expressed her love for her job and the people she worked with on the show. She also mentioned her excitement about portraying special agent Simone Clark, a character she felt was unique and groundbreaking for Black and brown girls to see on mainstream television.

Despite the disappointment of the show's cancelation, Niecy celebrated a big win at the Emmys, where she was crowned Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie for her role in Dahmer. In her moving speech, she thanked her colleagues, her better half, and herself for believing in her and achieving what others said she couldn't.

Niecy also dedicated her award to every Black and Brown woman who has been unheard and overpoliced, such as Glenda Cleveland, Sandra Bland, and Breonna Taylor. Overall, while disappointed by the end of The Rookie: Feds, Niecy Nash is still riding high and celebrating her well-deserved success.
