Stefon Diggs brother Darez sued alleged elevator attack

Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs' brother, Darez, is being sued over an alleged attack on a man in an elevator.

Darez Diggs, the brother of Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, is currently embroiled in a lawsuit over his alleged involvement in an attack on a man in an elevator in downtown Los Angeles.

The incident took place on May 29, 2023, when Darez Diggs was reportedly part of a group that assaulted Cristopher Griffith inside an apartment building. Griffith claims that the attack caused him pain, suffering, and emotional distress, and he is now seeking $100,000 in damages for jewelry and other property that he alleges was taken from him during the altercation.

In addition to Darez Diggs, the owner of the apartment complex is also being sued in connection with the incident. The LAPD is currently investigating the attack, which was captured on surveillance video. The footage reportedly shows Darez Diggs holding open the elevator door while two other men assaulted Griffith, taking his jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Darez Diggs, a former member of the Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL, is also known for his college football career at Marion University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He currently operates the lifestyle brand, Blue Boii. Meanwhile, his brothers, Stefon Diggs and Trevon Diggs, are prominent figures in the NFL, with Stefon Diggs playing for the Buffalo Bills and Trevon Diggs as a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys.

As the investigation into the attack continues, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, the Diggs family remains in the spotlight, with Stefon Diggs recently playing in the AFC divisional round against the Kansas City Chiefs and Trevon Diggs making a name for himself as a standout cornerback for the Cowboys.
