Rui Hachimura scores career-high, Lakers defeat Jazz in NBA game

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 138-122 in their final game before the NBA All-Star break. Anthony Davis had 37 points and 15 rebounds, while Rui Hachimura scored a career-high 36 points. LeBron James was rested due to an ankle injury, but is set to play in his 20th All-Star Game on Sunday. Davis and Hachimura are the first pair of Lakers teammates since Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal to each score more than 35 points in a game. The Lakers have won six of their last seven games, establishing their identity as a team. Davis and Hachimura's strong performances helped secure the victory, with the Lakers shooting 57% from the field. The Jazz, led by Collin Sexton, have lost nine of their last 13 games and have fallen out of the final play-in spot in the Western Conference. Despite the loss, Utah remains optimistic about their potential as a team. Looking ahead, the Lakers will face the Golden State Warriors after the All-Star break.
