Judge for NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest 2024

"2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis to feature Slam Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge, and 3-Point Contest with top athletes competing."

The NBA All-Star Weekend in 2024 promises an array of exciting activities for fans and attendees. Taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the event will showcase the incredible talents of athletes from both the men's and women's leagues in four thrilling events.

Among the highlight events is the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest 2024, which will feature four talented participants: Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, Jaime Jaquez Jr. of the Miami Heat, Jacob Toppin of the New York Knicks, and Mac McClung of the Osceola Magic, who is the defending champion. McClung, who previously played in the G League, achieved three perfect scores on his final four attempts in 2016.

During the contest, each dunk will be evaluated by a panel of five judges, including former champions Dominique Wilkins and Fred Jones, as well as Hall of Famers Gary Payton and Mitch Richmond, and former Indiana Pacers star Darnell Hillman. With their expertise and experience, they will be responsible for scoring the dunks on a scale of 40 to 50 in two rounds.

The rules of the contest dictate that each dunker has 1:30 minutes and one additional try, for a total of three attempts. If there is a tie following the final round, a one-dunk-dunk-off will determine the champion. In this round, each participant will have a singular opportunity to attempt a dunk, and the judges will determine the victor if the score remains tied.

In addition to the Slam Dunk Contest, the 2024 All-Star Skills Challenge will also feature the Skills Challenge, the Starry 3-Point Contest, and the Stephen [Curry] vs. Sabrina [Ionescu] 3-Point Challenge. The evening program will commence at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT and will be broadcast live on TNT, DirectTV, and Hulu.

Overall, the NBA All-Star Weekend in 2024 promises to be an electrifying event, showcasing the incredible skills and talents of the league's most accomplished athletes. Fans and attendees can look forward to an unforgettable experience at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
