Frank Gore Jr. Set to Make NFL History

Gore Jr. signed with the Buffalo Bills as an Undrafted Free Agent. His potential to make the roster could create history.

Frank Gore Jr. was quickly picked up by the Buffalo Bills as an Undrafted Free Agent after Day 3 ended. However, his journey is far from over as he still needs to prove himself during training camp to secure a spot on the active roster.

Despite concerns about his size, breakaway speed, catch radius, and pass blocking, Gore Jr. possesses incredible lower-body strength, exceptional vision, outstanding balance for sharp cuts, and the ability to always fall forward through contact. His strengths seem to outweigh his weaknesses.

During his time at Southern Miss, Gore Jr. showcased his talent by rushing for 4,022 yards with 26 touchdowns and making 75 catches for 692 yards with four receiving touchdowns. Head coach Will Hall even used him as a quarterback at one point, highlighting his versatility and skill.

If Gore Jr. manages to make the 53-man roster, it will create a historic moment for quarterback Josh Allen. Allen handed off the ball to Gore Sr. 166 times in 2019, and if he does the same for Gore Jr., he will be the first quarterback to hand the ball off to both father and son.

With Gore Sr. retired at 40 years old and Gore Jr. entering the league as a rookie at 22, the potential for Allen to make this unique connection is truly mind-blowing. The opportunity for this moment is rare and would be a memorable event in the history of the NFL.
