In his first career second-round playoff game, Gilgeous-Alexander showcased his skills by shooting 8 of 19 from the floor and an impressive 11 of 13 from the free-throw line. This performance helped the Thunder make history as the youngest team in NBA history to win a conference semifinal game.

Kyrie Irving contributed 19 points for Dallas, while Luka Doncic finished with 19 points and nine assists. The game saw a thrilling moment when the Mavericks cut a 12-point Thunder lead to just one in the third quarter, thanks to a 3-pointer by Irving off a feed from Doncic. Chet Holmgren led the Thunder with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks, while Williams and Wiggins contributed 18 and 16 points, respectively. The Thunder capitalized on Dallas' turnovers, scoring 22 points off 16 turnovers.

The Mavericks struggled with their shooting, hitting just 39.3 percent from the field, while the Thunder shot 44.9 percent. Game 2 of the series is set for Thursday in Oklahoma City, promising another exciting matchup between these two talented teams.
