Kylian Mbappé, the star striker for Paris Saint-Germain, showcased his talent one last time at the Parc des Princes on Sunday, May 12. Despite his goal, PSG suffered a surprising 3-1 defeat against Toulouse on the evening they were presented with the Ligue 1 championship trophy.

In a heartfelt video shared on social media last Friday, Mbappé confirmed his departure from PSG once his contract expires at the end of the season. This marks the end of a seven-year journey with the club, with Real Madrid rumored to be his next destination. Speculation about his exit had been circulating since February when he privately informed PSG of his decision to move on.

Wearing the captain's armband, Mbappé opened the scoring early in the game, bringing his total goals for the season to an impressive 44 across all competitions. However, Toulouse quickly responded, with Thijs Dallinga equalizing for the visitors. Despite PSG making 10 changes to the team following their Champions League exit, Mbappé remained the only constant.

Yann Gboho's stunning goal in the second half put Toulouse in the lead, and Frank Magri sealed the victory in stoppage time. This defeat marked only the second loss for PSG in Ligue 1 this season, ending their 27-game unbeaten streak since September.

Mbappé has etched his name in PSG's history books, scoring a record-breaking 256 goals since his arrival from Monaco in 2017. His impressive tally of 191 goals in the French top flight, including his time with Monaco, places him seventh in the all-time list. Coach Luis Enrique hailed the 25-year-old as a "club legend" ahead of the game.

Despite the focus on celebrating their title triumph, rather than a specific tribute to Mbappé, the atmosphere at the Parc des Princes was bittersweet as fans bid farewell to one of their greatest talents.
