Humane Ai Pin wearable: Price set at $699, shipping in early 2024

Wearables startup Human unveils its first device, the Ai Pin, a pocket-sized wearable AI assistant, with a price tag of $700.

Human, a wearables startup, has recently revealed its first device, the Ai Pin. The company has been slowly releasing information about the device, and it was showcased by Naomi Campbell at Paris Fashion Week in October. The Ai Pin is a pocket-sized wearable AI assistant that can perform tasks similar to our current phones and voice assistants, but without a screen. It primarily operates through voice commands, with the occasional display on the user's hand. It functions independently of other devices, connecting to its own phone network through T-Mobile and Human's MVNO.

The device is priced at $700 and has a monthly plan of $24 for unlimited talk, text, and data. It is set to be shipped in early 2024, and there is anticipation for in-depth recordings and demonstrations of the technology. However, some skepticism exists due to the history of similar devices like Google Glass.

In other tech news, Meta may release a new budget VR headset in China, Amazon is reportedly planning to replace Android with a home-grown Fire OS, and Sennheiser has released a mini review of their Ambio Soundbar.

Valve has also introduced the $550 Steam Deck OLED, which is an update to the original Steam Deck. It features a better screen, improved battery life, and updated chip and thermals, offering a more advanced handheld gaming experience.

On the other hand, Omegle, a chat service connecting users with random individuals for text or video conversations, has announced its closure due to misuse and security concerns.

Meanwhile, Sony has sold 46.6 million PS5 consoles and is releasing updated hardware models, including a static model with Marvel's 'Spider-Man 2' at Dell and Walmart. Additionally, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Bundles have appeared at Walmart, offering accessories at a higher cost. Sony initially hinted that the PS5 Slim would only be available in the US, but standard models have been spotted in Canada.
