Philadelphia Eagles Troll Travis Kelce Taylor Swift Win Chiefs

Taylor Swift's absence at the Chiefs vs. Eagles game didn't stop the Eagles from trolling her and Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift may not have been able to make it to Kansas City to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs play against the Eagles in the Super Bowl, but that didn't stop the official Eagles social media from launching an incredible troll on the celebrity couple following the Eagles' 21-17 victory over the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

The epic troll was posted to the Eagles' Instagram and it was truly A+ work from the Eagles' social media team. For those who may not understand the context, let me explain.

Taylor Swift fans have been making "friendship bracelets" to wear and trade at her "Eras Tour" concerts this year. The bracelets stem from a lyric in her song, "You're On Your Own, Kid," which goes, "So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it."

Travis Kelce had tried to pass a friendship bracelet with his number on it to Taylor at one of her concerts in Kansas City this summer. Although that didn't happen, the two are now a couple after meeting in New York City in August and hitting it off. To add to the intrigue, Swift was born and raised in the exurbs of Philadelphia and is a self-described childhood Eagles fan. If a Saturday concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil had not been postponed to Monday night due to the death of a concertgoer, Swift would have been in attendance for a Swift-Kelce family extravaganza.

Swift is incredibly popular up and down the Mid-Atlantic corridor, even more so than in the rest of the country. However, for one night, Philadelphia Swifties were okay with her getting clowned on social media. The Eagles' social media team certainly knew how to capitalize on the situation and deliver a well-timed troll.
