Selena Gomez, Wizards of Waverly Place Cast Reunite After Sequel News

Selena Gomez and her co-stars are reuniting for a Wizards of Waverly Place sequel. The new series will star David Henrie.

The popular Disney Channel series, Wizards of Waverly Place, is making a comeback with a sequel, reuniting the original cast members including Selena Gomez, David Henrie, David DeLuise, and Maria Canals-Barrera. The only member missing from the photo shared on Instagram was Jake T. Austin, who played the youngest sibling, Max. The original series followed the Russo family, who secretly are powerful wizards, as they navigate the challenges of growing up and learning to responsibly use their powers.

The sequel will pick up after a mysterious incident at WizTech, where an adult Justin, played by David Henrie, has left his wizard powers behind to lead a normal human life with his family. However, a young wizard shows up at his door in need of training, forcing Justin to embrace his past to ensure the future of the Wizard World. The series will also introduce new cast members and will feature guest appearances by Selena Gomez, who is currently starring in the hit series, Only Murders In The Building.

Speaking of Only Murders In The Building, the series has been renewed for a fourth season, with creator John Hoffman expressing aspirations for the show to continue beyond that. The show, which stars Gomez alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short, has received positive reception and Hoffman hopes for a long life for the series, given the unexpected and magnetic force of talent involved.

It's an exciting time for fans of Wizards of Waverly Place and Only Murders In The Building, as they can look forward to the return of their favorite characters and the continuation of their beloved series.
