The incident occurred on April 15, 2024, just after 7pm, when Bishop Emmanuel was reportedly stabbed multiple times with a pen and subsequently rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The attacker, who was detained by churchgoers before being arrested by the police, was captured in a chilling photo smiling at a camera while being pinned down on the floor.
