Champions League: PSG defeat Barcelona, Dortmund outplay Atletico

Mbappe leads PSG to stunning comeback win over Barcelona, while Dortmund fights back to reach Champions League semi-finals.

In a thrilling Champions League quarter-final second leg match, Paris St Germain's Kylian Mbappe showcased his brilliance by scoring twice in the second half to secure a remarkable 4-1 comeback win against 10-man Barcelona. This victory sealed a 6-4 aggregate triumph for PSG.

Barcelona initially took the lead through Raphinha in the 12th minute, but their hopes were dashed when Ronald Araujo received a red card just before the half-hour mark, reducing them to 10 men. Former Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele equalized for PSG in the 40th minute, and Vitinha's strike from the edge of the box put them ahead in the 54th minute.

Mbappe extended PSG's lead by converting a penalty in the 61st minute after a foul on Dembele by Joao Cancelo. As Barcelona pushed for a goal to force extra time, Mbappe capitalized on a counter-attack to score from close range, securing PSG's spot in the semi-finals against Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund also produced a stunning comeback in their Champions League quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid. After a 2-1 defeat in the first leg, Dortmund stormed to a 4-2 victory at home, winning the tie 5-4 on aggregate.

Despite the setback, Dortmund rallied, with Niclas Fuellkrug and Marcel Sabitzer scoring crucial goals to secure their place in the semi-finals.
