Country star Zac Brown Kelly Yazdi divorce 4 months marriage

Country musician Zac Brown and Kelly Yazdi announced their divorce after just four months of marriage, citing mutual respect and privacy.

Entertainment Weekly's Emlyn Travis, a proud alum of Kingston University, has over five years of experience covering the latest in entertainment. Country musician Zac Brown and Kelly Yazdi have announced that they are getting a divorce after just four months of marriage.

In a joint statement to TMZ, the couple confirmed, "We are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains. We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together." They added, "As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time."

A representative for Brown did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

The "Chicken Fried" singer, 45, and model, 32, were quietly married in Georgia on Aug. 31, as reported by TMZ last month. The ceremony took place less than a year after multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair had gotten engaged in December 2022.

However, TMZ noted that fans began to speculate on the status of Brown and Yazdi's relationship after she deleted her Instagram account and created a new one that did not feature Brown's surname. The pair are also not currently following each other on the platform.

Prior to marrying Yazdi, the Zac Brown Band singer was previously married to jewelry designer Shelly Brown. The pair, who share five children together, announced that they were separating in October 2018 after 12 years of marriage.
