The performance was so captivating that it could have easily been mistaken for the actual event. Spectators were treated to a preview of the moving music that would accompany the fireworks display, with many expressing their excitement and awe at the experience.

One onlooker, Joyce Spencer, described the rehearsal as a chance to witness the entire show without the fireworks, while Karen Weinstock, visiting from New York, was moved to chills by the performance. The Weinstocks made sure to secure a spot to watch the rehearsal from start to finish, despite it not being the official show. Larry Weinstock shared his excitement at finally seeing the Boston Pops live after watching them on TV for years.

The lineup for the event included renowned performers such as Darlene Love, Kelli O'Hara, and the Singing Sergeants from the United States Air Force Band. Spectator Carline Francois emphasized the sense of unity and celebration of American values that the event represents. The Boston tradition of the fireworks show on the Charles River brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate what binds them together.

Local resident Susan Ashbrook, who has been attending the fireworks display since 1977, expressed her love for the tradition and the sense of community it fosters. Police are urging attendees to be mindful of the increased security measures in place for the event and to refrain from bringing alcohol, weapons, backpacks, or coolers. The focus is on enjoying the music, the fireworks, and the togetherness of the celebration.
