Former Colts DT Daniel Muir Arrested Missing Son Found SWAT Raid
Former Colts player Daniel Muir arrested after son found by SWAT team, facing charges of domestic battery and obstruction of justice.
Former NFL player Daniel Muir was recently arrested after his teenage son, Bryson Muir, who had been missing for two weeks, was found by a SWAT team at the family home in Kokomo, Indiana. The 14-year-old Bryson is now in the care of the Cass County Department of Child Services, while his father, Daniel, is facing charges of domestic battery and obstruction of justice alongside his wife, Kristin.
Bryson was last seen on June 16 leaving a relative's house in Ohio with his mother, who was driving a car belonging to the religious group the Muir family is part of, the Servant Leader's Foundation. However, Bryson was not in the car when it was pulled over, leading to concerns about his well-being.
The Cass County Department of Child Services alerted authorities to allegations of domestic battery involving Bryson, prompting the parents to agree to bring him in. However, they later failed to cooperate, resulting in arrest warrants being issued. When they missed their court appearance, the state police raided their home and found Bryson, who appeared to have a black eye in a photo taken during the raid.
Daniel Muir, who played as a defensive tackle in the NFL for seven years, was undrafted in 2007 but signed with the Green Bay Packers as a free agent. He went on to have a successful career with the Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders, and New York Jets, totaling 99 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
