The Angels emerged victorious with a 4-2 score, thanks in large part to Ohtani's brilliance. He became the first American League pitcher in almost 60 years to hit two home runs and strike out at least 10 batters in a single game. On the pitching front, Ohtani holds a 7-3 record for the season with an impressive ERA of 3.02. Additionally, he leads all of Major League Baseball with a remarkable opponent batting average of .180.

Unfortunately, Ohtani was forced to exit the game in the sixth inning due to a cracked fingernail. However, he remains optimistic and plans to continue his scheduled appearances. "It was a small crack before the game and gradually got worse. I came out of the game before it got too bad, so the plan is to go on schedule," Ohtani explained through his interpreter.
