The Coastal Empire is gearing up for the highly anticipated 4th of July celebrations, and there is no shortage of exciting events to attend. From live music to fireworks, these family-friendly gatherings are sure to create lasting memories.

One of the most popular events is the Savannah Stars and Stripes July 4th Weekend Celebration at Plant Riverside District. From June 30 to July 4, attendees can enjoy free live music, kid-friendly activities, and a wide variety of food and drink options. The lineup of performers includes the Parris Island Marine Band, the 116th United States Army Band, Roman + the Riot, Laiken Love and The Fellowship of Love, and many others. Additionally, MLK Jr. Park will host nightly America the Beautiful Fountain Shows at 9 and 10 p.m. On July 4, the Savannah's Waterfront Independence Day Fireworks Show will light up the sky over the Savannah River at 9:15 p.m. For those looking for a more exclusive experience, a special VIP party will be held at Electric Moon from 7 to 11 p.m., featuring a live DJ, drink specials, and giveaways.

For history enthusiasts, Fort McAllister State Historic Park is the place to be. On July 1 and July 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the park will transport attendees back to 1864 with living history demonstrations. Visitors can witness musket firings, artillery displays, partake in old-timey games, and enjoy fresh watermelon. This event offers a unique and educational way to celebrate Independence Day.

The City of Richmond Hill is hosting their annual Independence Day Celebration at J.F. Gregory Park on July 1 at 4 p.m. This community event is perfect for the whole family, with inflatables, vendors, food trucks, amusement rides, and classic cars. Attendees can also enjoy live performances from talented acts like The Boondockers and The Swingin' Medallions. The festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show at sundown.

The festivities kick off with a performance by singer/songwriter Trea Landon on July 1 at 7 p.m. The party continues on July 2 and 3, with an all-day celebration. If you're in the mood for some soulful, swinging music, head to The Park at Eastern Wharf on July 4 from 7 to 10 p.m. The Thompson Savannah and Tate Law Group are hosting a free community concert featuring the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra. Their Patriotic Big Band Salute will fill the air with the "Sound of Savannah." Attendees can also indulge in delicious food from various food trucks, including Bow Tie BBQ, Chazito's, the Naked Dog, and Mahalo Shave Ice. The Thompson Hotel will provide a mobile bar, and additional food and drink options are available at the Thompson's Bar Julian and Bar by Fleeting. The evening will culminate with a breathtaking fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
