KFC Commemorates National Fried Chicken Day through Clothing Line and Slide Sandals

KFC celebrates National Fried Chicken Day with new footwear and apparel.

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is celebrating National Fried Chicken Day on July 6 by releasing a new line of footwear and apparel. The collection is now available for purchase on KFCShop.com. The standout item in the collection is the "Sliders" slides, which retail for $39.95. These casual slip-on style slides feature a red and white striped design that resembles KFC's recognizable packaging.

The Sliders slides come in a range of sizes for both men and women. They have a cushy white sole with the KFC logo in bold red lettering. The straps of the slides are thick and sturdy, ensuring that the wearer's feet are securely held in place.

The rest of the KFC-themed merch collection follows a vintage aesthetic, but with a modern twist. For example, there is a reversible bucket hat with stripes on one side and a chicken leg print on the other. The collection also includes Shady Rays x KFC sunglasses, a beach towel, a logo koozie, and a large tumbler with KFC's famous slogan, "it's finger-lickin' good," printed on the side.

Nick Chavez, CMO of KFC U.S., expressed the brand's desire to celebrate summer with their customers through this new collection. He highlighted the variety of items available, including outfit sets, varsity jackets, slides, and the fan-favorite bucket hat. It's a finger-lickin' good way to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day.

In honor of National Fried Chicken Day, customers can enjoy free delivery on all food orders placed through the KFC mobile app or kfc.com at participating locations until July 9.

Along with the collection, KFC is also launching the Ultimate BBQ fried chicken sandwich, which will be available for a limited time until August 13. This mouth-watering sandwich is sure to satisfy any fried chicken lover's cravings.

This is not the first time KFC has ventured into chicken-inspired footwear. In July 2022, the fast food chain collaborated with Crocs to create a whimsical drumstick-topped classic clog style.
