This invitation is significant considering Curry is one of the co-holders of the NBA 3-point contest record, along with Tyrese Haliburton, with a score of 31.

Not only did Ionescu surpass Curry and Haliburton's record, but she also broke the WNBA record set by Allie Quigley of the Chicago Sky, who hit 30 points last year. Quigley took to Twitter to acknowledge Ionescu's accomplishment, stating that her record "won't ever be broken."

During her round, Ionescu showcased her incredible shooting skills by making an impressive 20 consecutive shots. She only missed her final shot from the right wing, but quickly recovered and connected on another five shots from the corner, eliciting a roar of excitement from the crowd.
