Eminem Astonishes Detroit Crowd at Ed Sheeran Concert with Electrifying 'Lose Yourself' Performance

Eminem surprises crowd at Ed Sheeran's Detroit concert with performance.

In a surprising turn of events, Eminem made a special appearance at Ed Sheeran's concert in Detroit on Saturday. The rapper, also known as "Slim Shady," joined Sheeran on stage at Ford Field, where the singer was performing as part of his "Mathematics Tour." The crowd was taken aback when Sheeran started performing the first 30 seconds of Eminem's hit track, "Lose Yourself," and then the rapper himself emerged to join him.

The dynamic duo then captivated the audience with their rendition of "Stan," with Sheeran providing the vocals originally performed by Dido while Eminem delivered his iconic rap verses, pacing the stage with his trademark intensity. The crowd erupted in applause and cheers after their two-song surprise, prompting Eminem to express his gratitude, saying, "I appreciate you, Detroit. I love you!"

This rare concert appearance by Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, is not the first time he has shared the stage with Sheeran. The two artists previously collaborated at the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony in November, where Eminem was being honored as part of the 2022 class. They have also worked together on several tracks, including "River" in 2017, "Remember the Name" in 2019, and "Those Kinda Nights" in 2020.

Throughout the night, Sheeran paid tribute to both Eminem and the city of Detroit. He wore a black tour shirt with the word "DETROIT" emblazoned on it and delighted the crowd with a three-song encore while sporting a customized Detroit Lions jersey. The NFL jersey featured the number 5 on the front and the name "Mathers" on the back.

Sheeran's "Mathematics Tour" will continue with a performance in Nashville on July 22 before concluding in Los Angeles on September 23. Fans can expect more incredible performances and surprises as Sheeran continues to wow audiences across the country.

In other news, Eminem's daughter Alaina recently tied the knot, and her sister Hailie Jade served as one of the bridesmaids. Additionally, 50 Cent revealed his plans to bring Eminem's iconic film "8 Mile" to television, exciting fans of the rapper and the movie.
