Lindsay Lohan Welcomes Her First Child into the World
Actress Lindsay Lohan and husband welcome a "beautiful, healthy son."
Actress Lindsay Lohan, known for her role in "Parent Trap," and her husband, financier Bader Shammas, have welcomed their first child, a son named Luai. Lohan's representative confirmed the news, stating that the family is "over the moon in love." The couple resides in Dubai, where Lohan gave birth, although the exact date was not disclosed.
Luai, an Arabic name meaning "shield" or "protector," was announced as Lohan's choice for her son's name back in March when she shared a photo on Instagram of a white onesie with the words "coming soon." Lohan, 37, has been living overseas for a number of years and tied the knot with Shammas last year.
Once a prominent figure in tabloid media, Lohan has since maintained a lower public profile. However, she has returned to acting, appearing in Netflix's "Falling for Christmas" and will star in an upcoming romantic comedy called "Irish Wish" on the streaming service.
In an interview with Allure magazine in June, Lohan expressed her excitement about becoming a mother and discussed the challenges of balancing work and family life. She mentioned seeking advice from her former co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, who encouraged her to bring the baby along wherever she goes.
Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, shared that Lindsay has always had a desire to be a mother, as she comes from a large family herself. Dina described Shammas as sweet and expressed their happiness and readiness for parenthood.
Overall, Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas are overjoyed to welcome their son Luai into the world. Lohan looks forward to embracing motherhood and navigating the challenges and joys that come with it.
