Jamie Foxx recovering from undisclosed medical condition, expresses gratitude for support.
Academy Award-winning actor, singer, and comedian Jamie Foxx recently shared a personal update on his Instagram, revealing that he is currently recovering from an undisclosed medical condition. In a heartfelt video, Foxx expressed gratitude for his progress and acknowledged the challenges he has faced during his journey to recovery.
Foxx, who appeared thin and wore a dark pullover shirt in the video, spoke candidly about his experience, stating, "I went to hell and back, and my road to recovery has some potholes as well, but I'm coming back. I'm able to work." The 55-year-old actor had been hospitalized in April due to a "medical complication," as described by his daughter, Corinne Fox.
Throughout the video, Foxx expressed his reluctance to share his condition publicly, explaining, "I just didn't want you to see me like that ... I didn't want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through." However, he expressed deep gratitude towards his daughter, sister, God, and the medical professionals who played a vital role in saving his life.
Foxx emphasized the magnitude of his experience, stating, "I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through." He also shared moments of vulnerability, admitting that he occasionally bursts into tears due to the emotional toll of his illness. Nevertheless, Foxx expressed optimism and determination, assuring his fans, "Now I've got my legs under me so you're going to see me."
Fellow cast members of Foxx's recent film "They Cloned Tyrone," including David Alan Grier, Teyonah Parris, and Tamberla Perry, expressed their support and well wishes for Foxx's recovery. Perry shared, "Just praying that he gets better and takes whatever time he needs to heal."
Jamie Foxx, originally born Eric Marlon Bishop in 1967 in Terrell, Texas, began his career as a stand-up comedian before making a breakthrough in television with various roles on Fox TV's musical-comedy "In Living Color" in 1990. He has since achieved great success, winning an Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the biographical film "Ray" (2004) and a Grammy for his song "Blame It" in 2010. Foxx's impressive filmography includes notable works such as "The Jamie Foxx Show," "Collateral," and "Django Unchained."
As Foxx continues his recovery, fans and colleagues eagerly await his return to the screen, appreciating his talent and resilience.
