'Samuel Chukwueze Discloses How Osimhen Persuaded Him to Join AC Milan - Exclusive Revelations'

Samuel Chukwueze, the newly signed player for AC Milan, has shared that the club's fans and his close friend, Victor Osimhen of Napoli, played a significant role in his decision to join the Italian giants.

Chukwueze recently signed a five-year contract with AC Milan, with the club paying a transfer fee of €20 million, along with an additional €8 million in various add-ons and performance-related bonuses.

For the upcoming 2023-2024 season, Chukwueze has chosen to wear the No. 21 jersey under the guidance of coach Stefano Pioli at San Siro.

Having spent the past six years with Villarreal in La Liga, where he scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 50 competitive appearances last season, the winger is now eager to start his career in Serie A.

After completing his move to AC Milan, the 24-year-old Nigerian international expressed his gratitude to the club's fans for their overwhelming support and influence in his decision to join the team. Chukwueze stated, "When I found out that AC Milan wanted to sign me, I was a bit nervous. But when I saw Milan fans reaching out to me on social media, urging me to come to the club, I was truly touched. They are incredible people, and it was their passion that ultimately convinced me to come here."

Chukwueze also revealed that his friend and fellow Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen, had spoken highly of AC Milan and encouraged him to sign with the club. Chukwueze shared, "Victor told me wonderful things about the club and advised me not to hesitate in joining them. We even joked about competing against each other on the field. It's great to have his support and guidance."

The bond between Chukwueze and Osimhen dates back to their time together in the Nigeria under-17 camp and continues in the Super Eagles team. It comes as no surprise that Osimhen, who currently plays for Napoli, wanted his friend to join him in Italy.

Chukwueze's football journey began at Nigeria's Diamond Football Academy before he made his move to Villarreal in 2017. Since then, he has made 207 appearances for the club, scoring 37 goals and winning the Europa League title in 2021. Additionally, he has represented the Super Eagles of Nigeria 28 times, finding the back of the net four times.
