Morgan Wallen MLB Habitat for Humanity Nashville Baseball Park Renovation

Country artist Josh Ross, along with the Morgan Wallen Foundation and other donors, has donated $1 million to revitalize a baseball and softball complex in Nashville. The donation will support efforts to create a 59-acre park and provide homes for Habitat for Humanity.

Josh Ross, the talented musician behind the hit song "Last Night," is making waves in the music industry. But he's not just focused on his own success. Through his Morgan Wallen Foundation, Josh has teamed up with the Major League Baseball & MLB Players Association Youth Development Foundation and other local donors to support the revitalization of the Parkwood Community Club baseball and softball complex in North Nashville.

This incredible project has received a total of $1 million in donations, with the Morgan Wallen Foundation and the MLB-MLBPA YDF each contributing $500,000. Additional donors include the Speer Foundation, Airbnb, Nashville Sounds baseball, and Wallen's booking agency, the Neal Agency.

Baseball has always held a special place in Josh's heart. He grew up playing the sport and dreamed of pursuing a career in baseball. However, an injury changed his path, leading him to pursue music instead. With the Morgan Wallen Foundation, he aims to support youth in both sports and music.

When Josh learned about the Parkwood complex in Nashville, he knew he wanted to help. He believes that every child deserves the opportunity to play ball and be part of a team. The revitalization of Parkwood will give children in the community a chance to experience the joy of sports. Josh is excited to see the park once it has been renovated and hopes to continue supporting youth in their athletic pursuits.

The significance of Parkwood to Nashville's baseball and softball community is not lost on Jean Lee Batrus, the Executive Director of the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation. She recognizes the power of these sports to strengthen lives and communities. The foundation is thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity and other organizations that share their passion for empowering youth through baseball and softball.

Adam English, the General Manager of the Nashville Sounds, also understands the impact that baseball can have on a community. Through their participation in "The Nine" program, the Nashville Sounds are dedicated to giving all kids access to top-notch baseball facilities. By renovating the fields at Parkwood, they hope to inspire a new generation of talented ball players in Nashville, just like Mookie Betts, a six-time MLB All-Star.

The generous contributions from the Morgan Wallen Foundation, the MLB-MLBPA YDF, and other donors will not only support the revitalization of the Parkwood complex but also contribute to a larger fundraising goal. This goal aims to create a 59-acre park and provide homes for 26 families through Habitat for Humanity in District 2.

The MLB-MLBPA YDF is a joint initiative by Major League Baseball and the Players Association. Their mission is to improve the caliber, effectiveness, and availability of amateur baseball and softball programs in the United States and around the world. By supporting projects like the revitalization of Parkwood, they are making a positive impact on the youth and communities they serve.

Overall, Josh Ross's dedication to giving back and supporting youth in sports and music is truly commendable. His partnership with the MLB-MLBPA YDF and other donors is making a lasting impact on the Parkwood Community Club and the Nashville community as a whole. Together, they are creating opportunities for children to play ball, be part of a team, and build a brighter future.
