Jawan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, is poised to break box office records and become the biggest Bollywood opener of all time. In fact, the film has already surpassed the advance sales of SRK's previous release, Pathaan, having sold over 14 lakh tickets. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, taking to X (formerly Twitter), reported that as of noon on Day 1, Jawan collected a nett ₹ 19.35 crore at national chains, placing it behind Pathaan, War, and KGF 2 in Hindi.

According to a report on Sacnilk.com, Jawan has already raked in Rs 35.6 crores at the Indian box office, thanks to its phenomenal advance booking. The film has released in approximately 10,000 screens, making it one of the widest releases in Indian cinema history. Additionally, Jawan features a special appearance by Deepika Padukone. The first show of the film commenced at 6 am amidst grand celebrations. Film trade expert Taran Adarsh predicts that Jawan is likely to earn an opening day box office collection of Rs 85 crore across all languages.

On Wednesday, a special screening of the film was held at Mumbai's YRF, with notable attendees such as Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, and Sunil Grover.
