Liverpool Europa League kit change
Liverpool's kit for the 2023/24 Europa League will feature the LFC Foundation logo, raising awareness for their charitable work.
Liverpool's participation in the 2023/24 Europa League will bring about a significant change in their kit, as the LFC Foundation logo will be displayed for the first time. This season, the Reds will be competing in UEFA's secondary continental competition, with their first group stage match set to take place against Austrian club LASK.
While LASK typically sports black and white striped shirts, Liverpool will be switching out their traditional home colors in favor of the Nike-manufactured purple third strip. However, the change in color is not the only difference. In previous seasons, the Side by Side logo, which represents the partnership between the LFC Foundation and non-profit organization Right to Play, was situated below the player's number on the back of the shirts. This season, the logo of the foundation itself will take its place.
As Liverpool FC's official charity, the LFC Foundation aims to raise awareness for the work they do both domestically and internationally. In the Liverpool City Region alone, they supported over 120,000 individuals last year. Additionally, their partnership with Right to Play continues to thrive, with programs in Tanzania and Senegal.
Matt Parish, the chief executive of the LFC Foundation, expressed his excitement about the opportunity to showcase their work and raise funds through the sale of the logos. By purchasing kits, supporters will also have the option to add the LFC Foundation logo for an additional £5, with the proceeds going towards supporting their work.
The new Liverpool third kit for the 2023/24 season is now available. This kit marks the first time since the 2018/19 season that Liverpool will be wearing purple. The design features a purple ripple pattern, black sleeve cuffs, collarbone inserts, side paneling, and matching shorts and socks.
Supporters can purchase the kit starting at £44.95. This not only allows them to show their support for the team but also contributes to the important work of the LFC Foundation.
