"That's a fraudulent move" - Cowboys star Micah Parsons calls out Rodney Harrison for disgusting comments about Zach Wilson
Micah Parsons defends Zach Wilson after Rodney Harrison calls him "garbage," praising Wilson's potential and calling Harrison's comments fraudulent.
In a recent game between the New York Jets and the Kansas City Chiefs, quarterback Zach Wilson faced criticism from various sources. Despite playing an impressive game and pushing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to the limit in a close 23-20 loss, Wilson did not receive the praise many believed he deserved.
One notable critic was Rodney Harrison, who conducted an interview with Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones after the game. During the interview, Harrison referred to Wilson as "garbage," leading some to believe that he was attempting to provoke Jones into speaking negatively about Wilson.
To his credit, Jones remained professional and gave credit to Wilson for his leadership, acknowledging that he simply needed more time to develop. Micah Parsons, a player for the Dallas Cowboys, took issue with Harrison's comments about Wilson. On his podcast, The Edge, Parsons expressed his disagreement:
"In my opinion, that's a dishonest move," Parsons stated. "Zach Wilson is unique in his own way. You can't watch the tape and call him garbage. You may argue that he's not on the same level as Mahomes, but you can't deny that he's a good quarterback. He's a starter in the NFL. I hope he succeeds and proves all the doubters wrong."
Following a disappointing loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys were determined to bounce back. They did so convincingly in a game against the New England Patriots.
Despite not recording a sack, Micah Parsons once again made a significant impact on the field. The Cowboys' defense, aside from allowing a field goal on New England's opening drive, shut down their opponents for the remainder of the game.
In the third quarter, Mac Jones, the Patriots' quarterback, was benched after completing only 12 of his 21 passes for 150 yards and throwing two interceptions (one of which was returned for a touchdown).
The Cowboys regained their momentum in a dominant performance at AT&T Stadium. Now, the focus for Micah Parsons and his teammates shifts to a highly anticipated matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. This game is expected to showcase two formidable teams going head-to-head.
