The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has expressed its condolences to Prince Tajudeen Olusi, a party elder and member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), on the passing of his wife, Alhaja Mariam Olusi. In a statement released on Saturday by the state Publicity Secretary, Mr Seye Oladejo, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the Chairman of the party, extended his sympathies to the Olusi family.

Mrs Olusi, who was 77 years old, and the mother of Prince Adetoyese Olusi, Chairman of Lagos Island Local Council Development Area (LCDA), passed away on Saturday. Ojelabi described her as a devoted wife and loving mother to her children, and acknowledged her unwavering support for her husband throughout his political career.

The chairman praised Mrs Olusi for leading a life free from controversy and serving as a mentor and role model for women in terms of love, duty, compassion, and commitment to moral values. He highlighted her resilience in facing life's challenges with courage, calmness, and understanding.

Ojelabi expressed his condolences to the widower, Pa Olusi, acknowledging the immense loss he has suffered. He emphasized that Mrs Olusi's absence will be deeply felt within the Matiku Sanusi Olusi family. Ojelabi also extended his sympathies to the couple's sons, Adetoyese and Sola, who are both prominent members of the APC. He encouraged them to find solace in the fact that their mother has left behind a legacy of good virtues within the family and society.

The chairman conveyed his shock at the news of Mrs Olusi's passing, describing her as an amiable mother. He highlighted her role as a devoted wife and pillar of support for her husband in politics, government, community involvement, and religious activities. Ojelabi acknowledged the loss that Prince Tajudeen Olusi has experienced, but expressed comfort in the knowledge that Mrs Olusi lived a meaningful life and left behind a legacy of love, compassion, and duty.
