Lunar Eclipse 2023: Astrologer's Advice for Caring Laddu Gopal During Sutak Kaal Time
"Temple doors must be closed before Sutak period, says astrologer. Lunar eclipse to occur on October 29."
The celestial event known as a lunar eclipse, or Chandra Grahan in India, occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon and giving it a reddish-brown hue. On October 29 at 1:04 AM, a partial lunar eclipse is set to take place, according to Ayodhya's astrologer, Pandit Kalki Ram. To maintain spiritual purity, Pandit Kalki Ram recommends following important tips, especially if you have a temple in your home, before the Sutak Kaal time, when negative energies are believed to be at play.
The Sutak period, lasting approximately 9 hours, will begin at 4:06 PM on Saturday, October 28, and end at 2:22 AM on Sunday, October 29. To prepare for and during this period, there are guidelines to follow. First, ensure that the temple premises are meticulously cleaned before the Sutak period begins. Then, conduct the evening Aarti, a devotional ritual, in your home temple before the commencement of the Sutak period. If possible, make a complete offering to God before the Sutak period begins. Lastly, it is essential to close the doors of the temple before the start of the Sutak period and avoid opening them under any circumstances.
Reports state that India's second and last partial lunar eclipse of 2023 will commence on Saturday, October 28, at around 11:31 PM IST. By approximately 1:05 AM on Sunday, the darker part of the Earth's shadow (umbra) will cover the lunar phase. Interestingly, Pandit Kalki Ram reveals that during a solar eclipse, the age of Kali Yuga, the fourth stage of the world, is reduced by 5000 years. However, when a lunar eclipse occurs, the age of Kali Yuga decreases by two and a half thousand years.
During a lunar eclipse, it is important to observe certain do's and don'ts. One should refrain from cutting their hair or nails during this time.
