Jack Harlow Performs 'Whats Poppin' at Lions Thanksgiving Day Game After Emerging from Igloo
Jack Harlow emerges from ice cave at Ford Field to perform during halftime at Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving Day NFL game.
Jack Harlow, much like a brave hero emerging from an icy cave on the planet Hoth, made a grand entrance at Ford Field to perform during halftime at the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving Day NFL game. The hometown Lions were struggling against the Green Bay Packers, trailing 23-6 when Harlow took the stage, bundled up in the dome stadium.
Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, Harlow kicked off his performance with "Whats Poppin" from his 2020 album "Thats What They All Say." A young hype man in a Lions varsity jacket and a Scott Farkus coonskin cap added to the spectacle before disappearing back into the igloo. The performance was a head-scratching sight, reminiscent of the outrageousness of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.
Following his opening act, Harlow joined the Lions cheerleaders on the field to perform "Industry Baby" and later teamed up with a band for "First Class." Despite the Lions' significant halftime deficit, Harlow powered through and encouraged the Detroit fans, saying, "This game is not over!"
As the third quarter began, the Packers maintained their lead, with the score at 29-14. Harlow wasn't the only music star taking on Thanksgiving Day duties, as Dolly Parton was set to perform during halftime at the Dallas Cowboys-Washington Commanders game in Arlington, Texas, in support of her album "Rockstar."
