Westover Ducks for Cover from Apple Cup Friendly Fire

Husky tight end Jack Westover prepares for Apple Cup game, surrounded by friends who are Cougar fans, creating a friendly rivalry.

University of Washington senior tight end Jack Westover is facing a unique situation as he prepares for his final football game at Husky Stadium. Despite being a key player for the Huskies, Westover is surrounded by friends who are fans of the rival Washington State Cougars.

Hailing from Bellevue, Washington, and playing for Mount Si High School, Westover joined the Huskies as a walk-on player in 2018. Despite the coaching staff turnover, he has proven himself and earned a scholarship and a starting position. Now, he is a part of the nation's fourth-ranked team, with an impressive record and personal stats.

However, Westover's personal life is filled with interactions with friends who are loyal to the Washington State Cougars. He is part of a group chat with 12 close friends, 10 of whom are Coug fans. Despite the conflicting allegiances, Westover remains determined to win the upcoming game.

While he would prefer a larger percentage of his friends to be Husky fans, Westover has come to terms with the situation and continues to receive friendly banter from his Washington State-supporting friends. Despite the challenges, he remains focused on his goals and the sacrifices he has made to reach this point.
