Fortnite event update: 2-hour queue time stops players from entering Eminem concert
Fortnite's Big Bang event was a hit, but long queue times and errors left many players unable to join. Epic Games has a solution.
The highly anticipated Big Bang event in Fortnite was a huge success, drawing in over 11 million concurrent players. However, the overwhelming excitement and hype led to long queue times, sign-in errors, and an Epic Games Store outage, leaving many players unable to fully experience the event.
Thankfully, Epic Games swiftly addressed the issue and announced a solution to ensure that those who missed out on the spectacle will have another chance to participate.
While it's not possible to join the Big Bang event late, as the initial showing has already concluded, Epic Games has confirmed that there will be two additional showings in the near future. These reruns are expected to take place at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. PT / 11 p.m. ET, with the servers being taken down for maintenance afterward.
The first showing of the Big Bang event lasted approximately 12 minutes and attracted a massive number of players, causing significant queue times and frustration for many. However, with the promise of additional showings, players who missed out on the initial event will have another opportunity to witness "a new beginning" in Fortnite.
In addition to the excitement surrounding the Big Bang event, early Chapter 5 Season 1 patch notes have hinted at the debut of iconic fan-favorite characters like Peter Griffin and Solid Snake in the game, further adding to the anticipation and buzz within the Fortnite community.
