Tiger Woods daughter Sam serves as caddie for first time during PNC Championship event
Tiger Woods is joined by his kids, Sam and Charlie, at the PNC Championship's Pro-Am event at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.
Tiger Woods is not just participating in the PNC Championship's Pro-Am event at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club this weekend, but he's also turning it into a family affair. The 47-year-old athlete is teaming up with his son Charlie for the event, and on Saturday, he had his daughter, Sam, caddying for him for the first time.
In a video shared on the PGA Tour and PNC Championship's Instagram pages, 16-year-old Sam was seen standing next to her father, cleaning one of his clubs, and chatting with him. She was then captured observing the action as her father took a practice shot, wearing an official event top with the name "Woods" on the back.
This is not the first time that Tiger's children have been involved in his golfing career. He revealed that he had already put a golf club in Sam's hands a few weeks after she was born in 2007. Over the years, both Sam and Charlie have supported their dad at numerous golf tournaments, and Sam was front and center when it came to honoring her father at his World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony in March 2022.
Meanwhile, Tiger and Charlie have also been bonding this week, spending time together during a practice session the day before the tournament. A video shared by the PGA Tour's official X account showed the legendary golfer watching his son during their practice and being delighted by one of Charlie's warm-up shots.
The PNC Championship's Pro-Am event pairs family members together and marks the fourth year that Tiger and Charlie are competing against golfer Justin Thomas and his father, Mike. While both of Tiger's children have been encouraged to get involved in the sport from an early age, it's clear that the family bond extends beyond the golf course, with Sam's touching words during her father's Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
