Jalen Hurts snub handshake Drew Lock Eagles loss
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock was snubbed by Jalen Hurts after Monday's game, causing backlash on social media. Eagles lose third straight.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was seen on video appearing to snub a handshake with Seattle Seahawks counterpart Drew Lock after Monday's game. The video, posted by Twitter user @ripeplum31, showed the broadcast shortly after Seattle secured the 20-17 win at home.
In the clip, players from both teams were shown exchanging hugs after the game before the cameras cut to Lock. The Seahawks quarterback appeared baffled as Hurts disappeared from the field shortly after the final whistle. Lock commented, "I guess he's sick."
Social media users criticized Hurts for the unsportsmanlike display and shared their reactions on Twitter. Hurts had his worst performance of the season as the Eagles lost their third straight game. Despite starting the season with a 10-1 record, the Eagles have now lost three consecutive games, beginning with a 42-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, followed by a 33-13 defeat against the Cowboys in Dallas.
On Monday, Hurts completed 17 of 31 passes for 143 yards and was intercepted twice without tallying a single touchdown. Before the game, the Seahawks had lost their last four games and held a losing record. The upset win improved Seattle's standing to 7-7.
In just his fourth appearance this season, Lock completed 22 of 33 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. Both teams have three games left this season, with the Seahawks slated to face the Tennessee Titans on Christmas Eve and the Eagles looking to bounce back against the New York Giants on Christmas.
