Jason Momoa Open Return DCU Lobo Aquaman Lost Kingdom
Aquaman 2 is the last DCU movie, but fans hope Jason Momoa will return as Lobo, a role he loves.
The highly anticipated Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to hit theaters on December 22, 2023, marking what may be the final installment of the old DCU. Following this, fans can look forward to James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DCEU in 2024, kicking off with Creature Commandos. While some fans are disappointed at the potential loss of Jason Momoa from the franchise, there is still hope for his return in a different role.
One character that many fans believe Momoa would be a perfect fit for is Lobo, an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter from the comics. With his imposing build, long hair, and larger-than-life personality, Momoa shares several similarities with the character.
In a recent interview with Fandango (via Screenrant), Momoa expressed his enthusiasm for the role of Lobo. He revealed that he used to collect comics and that Lobo was always his favorite character. Momoa went on to say that he has always dreamed of playing the character and believes it would be the perfect role for him. He even stated that if offered the role, it would be a guarantee that he would accept it. However, as of now, he has not received any official offer and does not want to spread any false information. Nevertheless, Momoa made it clear that if the opportunity to play or audition for Lobo arises, he will be there.
