Medical Table Breaks After Isiah Pacheco Tries to Sit Following Hit
Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco fell through a medical table after getting a concussion, and the team struggled in a loss.
On Christmas Day, Isiah Pacheco, the Chiefs running back, had a string of unfortunate events. During the third quarter, his helmet came off after catching a pass from Patrick Mahomes, and he was accidentally kicked in the head by center Creed Humphrey. To add to the mishaps, when Pacheco went to the sideline to be evaluated, the medical table he sat on collapsed, almost leaving him on the floor. Despite this, he was ultimately ruled out of the game with a concussion.
Throughout the game, Pacheco struggled to find running room and only managed to tally 26 yards on 11 attempts. He also had a fumble, which was recovered for an eight-yard touchdown by Las Vegas. However, he did redeem himself somewhat with a 12-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Despite his efforts, the Chiefs' offense struggled, and they ultimately fell 20-14 to the Raiders.
Even Patrick Mahomes played below his usual standards, throwing a second-quarter interception that resulted in a pick-six. The loss brought the Chiefs down to a 9-6 record with two games left in the regular season. They will face the Bengals and Chargers in the upcoming weeks as they aim to clinch the AFC West.
Despite the disappointing outcome, some fans at Arrowhead Stadium had a bit of fun as they were treated to a slime bath in honor of Nickelodeon's alternate broadcast. Overall, it was a challenging day for the Chiefs and Pacheco, but they are looking ahead to their upcoming games with optimism.
