Scotland High School coach Richard Bailey has seen a number of players from Laurinburg, North Carolina make it to the NFL, but none as special as Las Vegas Raiders rookie Zamir White.
White was selected by the Raiders with the 122nd pick in the NFL draft, a moment he had been waiting for his entire life. Known as Zeus, White was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate and was given two weeks to live. He spent the first three months of his life in a hospital and faced numerous health issues, including a torn ACL in both knees.
