One of the most notable departures is redshirt freshman running back Zach Evans, who has decided to continue his college football career with the North Texas Mean Green. During his time with the Golden Gophers, Evans showed promise with 259 rushing yards and two touchdowns, as well as 15 receiving yards.
Another player who has left the program is quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis, who has been the starting quarterback for the 2023 season. Kaliakmanis has not yet committed to a new program for the 2024 season, but he will need to improve his accuracy and decision-making to find success with a new team.
