Weird Al Yankovic Story Wins 2 Emmys, Including Outstanding Television Movie
"Weird Al and Eric Appel celebrate Emmys win on Instagram. "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" takes home two awards."
The Creative Arts Emmys, typically held in September, were postponed to January due to SAG/WGA strikes. These awards recognize technical and other achievements in American television programming that may not be as interesting to the general TV viewing public as the main Emmy Awards, which will be given out on January 15th.

The film won for "Outstanding Television Movie," and composers Leo Birenberg and Zach Robinson won for "Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special." Having already won five Grammys, Weird Al is now halfway to an EGOT. "It only took me 40 years," Al told reporters backstage, "in another 40 years I'll be there."
The biopic, which stars Daniel Radcliffe as Al, was nominated for eight Emmys. Al celebrated at In-N-Out Burger and shared the moment on his Instagram. Other music Creative Arts Emmy winners included Danny Elfman for "Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music" for Wednesday, Ed Sheeran, Foy Vance, and Max Martin for "Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics" for "So Long, Farewell / Song Title: A Beautiful Game" from Ted Lasso, and The White Lotus for Best Music Supervision and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series.
