At the age of 80, Robert De Niro welcomed his seventh child, daughter Gia, with his girlfriend Tiffany Chen in April. During a recent show, comedian Jo Koy, a self-proclaimed fan of the "Goodfellas" star, expressed his admiration for De Niro's enduring talent, remarking, "This guy's amazing decade after decade. He just kills it every single time. I don't know how you do it." Koy then humorously asked De Niro, "How do you get pregnant at 80?" to which De Niro chuckled in response.
While De Niro was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in "Killers of the Flower Moon" at a recent awards show, he ultimately lost to Robert Downey Jr. for "Oppenheimer." Despite this, De Niro has already won two Golden Globes throughout his impressive four-decade-long career.
In an interview in October, De Niro discussed his experience of fatherhood at 80, acknowledging that his girlfriend Chen has been doing the "heavy lifting" in raising their daughter. He emphasized the importance of having help and noted that raising a baby is different from raising older children and grandchildren. When asked if he's enjoying fatherhood, he responded with a resounding "Of course I do. [I am happy with] all of it."
De Niro also shares children with his previous partners, including Drena and Raphael with his first wife Diahnne Abbott, twins Julian and Aaron with model and actress Toukie Smith, and Elliot and Helen with his second wife Grace Hightower. Despite his age, De Niro seems to be embracing fatherhood once again and enjoying the experience with his new daughter, Gia.
