The matchup between the Chiefs and Dolphins held significant narrative, particularly with Tyreek Hill's return to Arrowhead. The hosts took an early lead with a touchdown by rookie Rashee Rice, followed by an interception by Mike Edwards. However, the Dolphins were unable to capitalize on the turnover.

In the second quarter, Harrison Butker extended the Chiefs' lead with a field goal before Tyreek Hill scored a 53-yard touchdown. The Dolphins were unable to score for the remainder of the game, with Butker adding three more field goals and Isiah Pacheco sealing the victory with a touchdown rush.

Travis Kelce also contributed with seven catches for 71 yards, and the offensive line allowed zero sacks, giving Mahomes the freedom to move the ball effectively.

For the Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa completed 20 of 39 attempts for 199 yards and was sacked twice. Hill was limited to five catches for 62 yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs will face either the Buffalo Bills or the Houston Texans in their next game, depending on the outcome of the Bills' matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They will be the visitors against the Bills and the hosts against the Texans.
