Molly Ringwald and 20-year-old daughter twin during rare joint appearance
Molly Ringwald's daughter throws wild party, actress shares story on Jimmy Fallon. Daughter follows in her footsteps with role in upcoming film.
On January 23, actress Molly Ringwald made a stunning appearance at the premiere of FX's "Feud: Capote vs. the Swans" in New York City, wearing a striking black-and-white Rodarte gown. Accompanied by her writer husband, Panio Gianopoulos, and their 20-year-old daughter, Mathilda, Ringwald turned heads with her bold Swan-inspired look.
The couple, who married in 2007, are also parents to 14-year-old twins, Adele and Roman. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show," Ringwald shared an amusing anecdote about a wild party Mathilda threw at their home for her 16th birthday.
"It was like 200 people at our house -- I'm not kidding," Ringwald recalled. She humorously described the event as ten times crazier than any party from a movie she's been in. The police were called, and Mathilda, having seen too many "Law & Orders," attempted to stop them from entering without a warrant. However, the police intervened and dispersed the crowd.
Following in her mother's footsteps, Mathilda has landed a role in the upcoming film "The Idea of You," starring alongside Anne Hathaway. Ringwald admitted that she initially tried to discourage her daughter from pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, as she knows firsthand the challenges it presents. However, she is now focused on providing Mathilda with the tools to become the best actress she can be, acknowledging the difficulties of the business.
As Ringwald's daughter embarks on her own acting career, it's clear that she has her mother's support and guidance, ensuring that she enters the industry with a realistic understanding of its demands.
