In the NFC Championship game against the Detroit Lions, McCaffrey scored his 24th touchdown of the season, breaking the franchise record for most total touchdowns in a single season, including playoffs. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice.

The touchdown was a crucial moment for the 49ers, who were trailing 14-0 in the first quarter. McCaffrey's 28-yard catch and run put the Niners in striking distance, and two plays later, he powered into the end zone, securing his place in the record books.

This record-breaking season for McCaffrey also ties the NFL record for most consecutive games with a touchdown, sharing the honor with Hall of Famer Lenny Moore.
