Olivia Culpo can't afford Super Bowl suite
Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo can't afford a Super Bowl suite, according to the sport star's mom. Money problems for celebrities.
Lisa McCaffrey, the mother of NFL star Christian McCaffrey, recently revealed that her son and his fiancée, Olivia Culpo, are unable to afford a suite for the upcoming Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Despite Christian's lucrative NFL contract and Olivia's successful modeling career, the couple is priced out of securing a luxurious suite at Allegiant Stadium for the big game on February 11.
During a podcast appearance, Lisa expressed her surprise, stating, "We looked into a suite and none of us can afford it. Not even Christian, money bags over there - nor money bags Olivia. So, we're not in a suite, I'll tell you that right now."
Christian, who is set to earn over $10 million in each of the next two NFL seasons, and Olivia, a former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, have been engaged since April 2023. However, Olivia has opened up about the challenges she faced after her high-profile breakup with Nick Jonas, admitting that she lost her sense of identity and struggled to make ends meet in Los Angeles.
Reflecting on her past relationship with Nick, Olivia shared, "I moved to Los Angeles with him. I had no brand, no money, and I was in love. That was great, right, but when he broke up with me, I was kind of left with no sense of identity. My whole identity was in him, which is a very common story of a young person in love. I thought we were going to get married, I thought all the things, and I just remember night after night looking up at my ceiling in my apartment that I couldn't afford thinking to myself how am I going to pay my rent."
Despite their past struggles, Olivia and Christian have continued to build their careers and their relationship. As they prepare to attend the Super Bowl, the couple's inability to afford a suite serves as a reminder that even those with successful careers can face financial challenges.
