Spencer Rattler's impressive performance at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama has been a continuation of his strong week of practices. Early in the game, Rattler threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, giving his team a 7-0 lead. This touchdown was the highlight of a strong first half for Rattler, during which he completed all four of his passes for 65 yards.

During his time at South Carolina, Rattler threw for over 6,000 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. Despite having remaining eligibility, he announced his intention to declare for the NFL Draft after the 2023 regular season.

As the former No. 1 quarterback in the 2019 recruiting class, Rattler has made a strong impression in practices throughout the week. He was named the top quarterback on the American team by his defensive teammates and has received praise from NFL Draft analyst Dane Brugler for his "outstanding arm talent" and ability to deliver "well-timed, tight spirals to all levels of the field."

Senior Bowl executive director, Jim Nagy, also spoke highly of Rattler, noting that many teams have given him starter-level grades and praising his maturity both on and off the field. Despite not being projected as a first-round pick at this stage, Rattler is determined to change that perception as the draft process continues.
